“If we encounter a man of rare intellect, we should ask him what books he reads.”
As a little girl sneaking out, and climbing trees, with my mom’s Miles and Boons romance novels and also those Hardy Boys books I got from the library, were an escape for me. A way of going far away, exploring other cultures, visiting places that seemed like only a dream.
Today I am thankful for books, yes I said it, books. The streets on those pages where I have lived and visited, the people I have met and the things I have experienced. I can definitely say that I have been saved many times by the journeys I’ve often taken while reading.
Even today I still pick up a book and get lost for an entire day in the lives of the characters created by the ever so talented individuals called writers. I am thankful that I had this growing up and that I have it now. As this hobby has helped broaden my horizons, expand my imagination and developed my creativity.
To Kristen Ashley, Mary Higgins Clarke, James Patterson, Samantha Young and all the other wonderful people who allowed their imaginations to go crazy so I could find an outlet. You guys kicked ass, took names and I Love you!!! I am a detective, rock chick, lover because of you all *grins* Rock on guys!!!
Thank You Jesus
